The SFC’s Fund Manager Code of Conduct – What you need to know: Webinar Recording
Changes to the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) Fund Manager Code of Conduct come into force in November 2018. The regulation introduces enhanced guidance around risk management and specific requirements on liquidity risk, securities lending, repurchase agreements, custody practices and transparency around leverage.
It’s not too early to start preparing for implementation. Now is the time to lay the foundation for a solid compliance structure, consider the practical requirements, and identify gaps and weaknesses in your Code of Conduct requirements.
At our recent webinar, Derek McGibney of Cordium and Michael Langton of Linedata QRMO:
- provided a summary of the impending obligations;
- outlined how a properly considered risk management framework can add value to your business; and
- discussed how the rules can be applied to your firm in an effective way, that is proportionate for your size and activity level.
